About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our Finance team and take a leading role in driving process optimization, automation, and the integration of AI tools across the department.

This is a unique role that combines day-to-day accounting responsibilities with a strong process- and technology-oriented mindset. It is ideal for someone who wants to make an impact not only on financial outcomes, but also on the way financial processes are managed, analyzed, and delivered.

The role is designed for a Financial Controller with a strong technological and process-oriented mindset, who will be responsible for identifying, designing, and leading improvements to financial processes through automation, data, and AI, alongside ongoing accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Manage monthly and quarterly closing processes.
• Prepare financial statements and support the financial reporting process.
• Work regularly with the company’s financial systems, including Oracle.
• Prepare and produce financial reports.

Process Optimization & Automation

• Map manual processes and identify automation opportunities across accounting, collections, payments, and financial reporting.
• Design and implement more efficient workflows by leveraging existing tools and introducing new solutions where needed.
• Implement AI-based solutions within financial processes.
• Manage tasks and monitor processes to ensure effective execution and follow-through.
• Document and analyze financial processes, define business requirements, and translate financial needs into technological solutions.

Continuous Improvement

• Define KPIs for financial processes and monitor their effectiveness and efficiency.
• Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement, taking end-to-end ownership from problem identification and solution design through implementation and measurement of the actual business impact.
• Work with external system and technology vendors as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an accounting and/or finance operations role - required.
• Familiarity with Oracle - significant advantage.
• Experience with monday.com or a similar task/project management tool - advantage.
• Previous experience implementing automation processes or AI tools within a financial environment - advantage.
• Strong process-oriented thinking, with the ability to identify problems and develop practical solutions.
• Strong interest and curiosity in automation and AI tools; formal programming experience is not required.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments.
• Advanced Excel skills - required.
• Strong data analysis capabilities - required.
• Experience with Power BI, Python, and/or SQL - advantage.
