Application Operations Specialist

A leading financial organization is looking for an Application Operations Specialist to join its Technology division.

This role combines hands-on application operations, production support, troubleshooting, monitoring, and cross-functional work with internal IT teams and external vendors.

What you’ll do:

• Support and operate business-critical applications in complex Production environments
• Investigate and troubleshoot application incidents end-to-end
• Work with databases, logs, integrations, and application interfaces
• Monitor systems, dashboards, and alerts to proactively identify issues
• Coordinate with Development, Infrastructure, System, DBA, QA, and external vendors
• Support production releases, changes, sanity checks, and post-deployment validation
• Document operational processes and contribute to continuous improvement

Must-have Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Application Operations, Application Support, or Production Support
• Experience troubleshooting application issues in Production environments
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases
• Practical experience with monitoring and control tools
• Experience working with APIs and system integrations
• Ability to investigate incidents using logs, data, and system behavior
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multiple technical and business stakeholders

Nice to have:

• Experience with Control-M
• Experience with Active Directory
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Centrity, Grafana, Kibana, or similar
• Experience supporting financial, banking, insurance, or other business-critical systems
