Based in the heart of Tel Aviv, we're a dynamic startup with big dreams and an even bigger mission. We've had a highly successful launch and are gearing up for a massive U.S. expansion. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you won't just be maintaining APIs; you'll be building the backbone of the AI that decides who meets who.

What You'll Do

• Own the Matching Backend: Design, build, and scale the backend services and APIs that power mylo's AI matchmaking, conversation guidance, and vibe-meter feedback loop.
• Ship ML Into Production: Take mylo's matching and compatibility models from notebook to production, building the pipelines that keep them learning from real user feedback.
• Scale for Growth: Architect the systems that handle real-time chat, matching, and notifications as concurrent users grow across Israel and the U.S.
• Build the Data Pipeline: Design the infrastructure that feeds user signals — vibe-meter feedback, chat engagement, compatibility outcomes — back into the model, keeping it accurate as the user base grows.
• Partner With Product: Work closely with product and leadership to turn “make the AI wingman feel more human” into real, shippable backend and model changes.

Who You Are

• Experienced: 4+ years of backend engineering experience, including real production experience building or serving machine learning models, not just calling pre-built APIs.
• A Systems Thinker: You design for scale from day one — API design, database architecture, and service reliability are second nature to you.
• ML-Fluent: Comfortable with the practical side of ML in production — model serving, retraining pipelines, feature stores, and monitoring for drift — more than pure research.
• Data-Informed & Growth-Obsessed: You think in terms of what signals actually improve match quality, and work closely with product and analytics to define and track them.
• A Startup Operator: You take extreme ownership, prioritize speed, and navigate ambiguity with ease in a fast-paced environment.
• Bonus Points: Experience with recommendation systems or matching algorithms (dating, marketplace, or social), familiarity with real-time chat infrastructure, or prior work scaling a consumer app past hundreds of thousands of users.
