Network Engineer

About the Role

This role is intended for a network professional with strong architectural vision and hands-on capabilities, who will play a central role in protecting critical core systems. The job includes implementing and managing network security mechanisms, monitoring and analyzing traffic to identify threats, designing network architecture in a large-scale Enterprise environment, writing HLD and LLD documents, managing cloud communication infrastructure on GCP, troubleshooting complex issues, and performing health checks and compliance testing against information security policy.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer – Required
• Hands-on experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 on Cisco switches and routers – Required
• Hands-on experience operating and maintaining load balancers such as F5 or Alteon – Required
• Hands-on experience operating and maintaining Firewalls (CheckPoint, Palo Alto, or Fortigate) – Required
• Deep proficiency in communication protocols: BGP, EIGRP, TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, UDP, GRE, and IPSEC
• Experience designing and building secure communication networks in large Enterprise organizations
• Experience working with Remote Access solutions such as IPSEC, IPVPN, and METRO
• Experience in architecture specification and technical writing: HLD, LLD, RFP, RFI, and SOW
• Managing and operating communication and security solutions in GCP cloud environments
• Proficiency with monitoring and traffic control tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Grafana, Wireshark, and traceroute
• Ability to work in a dynamic, high-pressure environment with diverse technical teams

Nice to Have

• Experience managing and maintaining SSL/TLS certificates in enterprise and client-facing environments
• Experience writing automation scripts in Python, Bash, or Ansible
• Relevant networking and security certifications such as CCNP, NSE4-6, CCSA, CCSE, F5-CA, or F5-CTS
