Mechanical Design Engineer

Eshed Group is recruiting a skilled Electro-Mechanical Actuators Design Engineer for a leading defense organization located in the Central District.

In this role, you will take part in the mechanical design of complex mechanisms and electro-mechanical actuators, ensuring compliance with rigorous system-level requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical & Actuator Design: Lead the detailed mechanical design of mechanisms and electro-mechanical actuators to meet all operational and system performance requirements.
• Subsystem Characterization & Analysis: Define and characterize sub-assemblies, execute structural strength calculations, author requirement specifications, and prepare comprehensive test documentation.
• Design Reviews: Lead and participate in formal engineering Design Reviews (PDR/CDR).
• Multidisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate continuously with cross-functional engineering disciplines and on-site production teams across the manufacturing plant.

Job Requirements:

• Education: B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering – Mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven, hands-on experience in mechanical design and manufacturing processes – Mandatory.
• Electrical Competency: Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics – Mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on proficiency with Siemens NX CAD software within a Teamcenter (TC) environment.
• Experience performing static and dynamic structural analyses using Ansys or Nastran.
• Practical familiarity with drivetrain and gear/mechanism analysis tools, such as KISSoft.
