Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement & Logistics Specialist to join our Operations team. This is a full-time role located on-site in Modi'in. The individual will be responsible for managing purchase orders, evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and utilizing analytical skills to support the procurement process. Additionally, the role includes responsibility for import and export operations, coordinating shipments to international customers, and handling customs clearance for incoming materials. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional with strong negotiation skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of international trade and logistics.

Responsibilities:

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Manage procurement of raw materials, electronic components, cables, electromechanical items, and other materials required for production and assembly.
• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and supplier performance.
• Expedite orders and proactively resolve supply issues to support production schedules and project requirements.
• Source and manage suppliers, negotiate pricing, commercial terms, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, inventory data, and supplier documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Planning, Engineering, R&D, Project Management, Finance, Manufacturing, and Marketing.

Logistics, Import & Export

• Coordinate import/export activities, including international shipping, customs clearance, and freight forwarding.
• Manage logistics providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation companies, including freight cost negotiations and performance monitoring.
• Monitor shipments, resolve delivery and customs issues, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export control requirements, customs procedures, and company policies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on electronic components, cables, and electromechanical items.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in ERP systems – Priority is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Import/Export Knowledge: Solid understanding of international shipping, customs regulations, and brokerage. Experience in the defense industry is an advantage.
