AI Product Owner

AI Product Owner | Leading Defense Organization | Shfela Area

A leading defense organization in the Shfela area is looking for an AI Product Owner to lead the adoption, integration, and continuous improvement of AI products and tools used across software development teams.

The role sits at the intersection of Product, AI, and Software Development, combining product ownership with organizational AI adoption, technical integrations, security, governance, and performance measurement.

What You'll Do

• Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI applications and tools
• Gather and prioritize business and technical requirements and manage the product backlog
• Lead the rollout and adoption of AI tools across software development teams
• Establish best practices and train users on effective and responsible AI usage
• Lead integrations with existing development environments, including IDEs and CI/CD pipelines
• Work with external AI vendors and platforms
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, InfoSec, IT, and management teams
• Define policies and guidelines for secure AI usage, including protection of sensitive code and data
• Identify and manage risks associated with organizational AI adoption
• Define quality metrics and KPIs for AI-generated code, development efficiency, and product performance
• Establish feedback loops for continuous improvement
• Identify new AI use cases and opportunities across the organization
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, platforms, and development tools

What We're Looking For

• 3–5+ years of proven experience as a Product Owner – required
• Hands-on familiarity with AI technologies, including LLMs, AI coding tools, and ML platforms
• Experience or strong familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD environments
• Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Understanding of Information Security and risk management principles
• Strong stakeholder management and requirements prioritization skills
• Experience working across multiple technical and business teams
• Ability to lead organizational adoption and process change
• Strong analytical, strategic, and systems thinking
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Hebrew and English

Significant Advantages

• Previous Software Development experience
• Experience implementing or rolling out AI tools within an organization
• Strong familiarity with Generative AI and AI coding tools
