Procurement & Logistics Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement & Logistics Specialist to join our Operations team. The role involves end-to-end procurement management, supplier relationship management, import/export operations, and close collaboration with multiple internal departments to ensure material availability, on-time delivery, and supply chain efficiency. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional with strong negotiation skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of international trade and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Manage the procurement of raw materials, electronic components, cables, electromechanical items, and other materials required for production and assembly lines.
• Create, monitor, and manage purchase orders while ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and supplier performance.
• Expedite orders and proactively address supply chain risks to support production schedules and project requirements.
• Source new suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, lead times, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, inventory data, and supplier documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Planning, Engineering, R&D, Project Management, Finance, Manufacturing, and Marketing teams to support business objectives.

Logistics, Import & Export

• Coordinate and oversee all import and export activities, including international shipping, customs clearance, and freight forwarding.
• Manage relationships with logistics providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation companies.
• Negotiate competitive freight and logistics costs while ensuring service quality and reliability.
• Monitor shipments and proactively resolve delivery, customs, and transportation issues.
• Prepare and review shipping and customs documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export control requirements, customs procedures, and company policies.
• Support continuous improvement of logistics processes, lead times, and transportation costs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on electronic components, cables, and electromechanical items.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Independent, team player with strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in ERP systems – Priority is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
• Import/Export Knowledge: Solid understanding of international shipping processes, customs regulations, and brokerage. Experience in the defense industry is an advantage.
