Company Description HaGal Sheli (My Wave) is a non-profit organization that uses the sea and surfing as an educational, rehabilitative and therapeutic tool to support over 22K participants from all walks of Israeli society. Through structured group surf therapy programs, participants confront the forces of the sea, develop resilience, and build self-confidence that carries over into their daily lives. Role Description The Surf Therapy Center Manager is responsible for the daily operation and coordination of a surf therapy center in Bat Yam, Israel. This full-time, on-site role includes planning and overseeing surf therapy sessions, managing schedules, and ensuring a safe environment for participants and staff. The manager supervises surf instructors, counselors, and volunteers, conducts intake and progress follow-ups with participants, and collaborates with social workers, educators, and partner organizations. The role also involves maintaining equipment and facilities, tracking program outcomes, handling basic budgeting and reporting, and supporting outreach and community engagement activities. The manager serves as a key point of contact for families and stakeholders, ensuring that programs align with HaGal Sheli’s mission and standards.

Qualifications

• Program and operations management skills, including scheduling, resource coordination, and basic budgeting.
• Experience in youth work, social work, education, or therapeutic programs, with the ability to build trust and rapport with at-risk populations.
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills to guide instructors, counselors, and volunteers in a dynamic outdoor environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (additional languages like EN are an advantage), including the ability to collaborate with partners and families.
• Background in surfing, outdoor sports, or experiential education, with a solid understanding of ocean safety and risk management.
• Ability to work on-site in the Tel Aviv District, with flexibility for variable hours aligned with sea and weather conditions.
• Relevant academic or professional training in education, social sciences, psychology, community work, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
