Group Financial Controller

Relocation to Ghana

An international IT company operating in West Africa is seeking an experienced Group Controller (Chief Accountant) to join its finance team.

This is a hands-on accounting and management role requiring full relocation to West Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the group’s ongoing accounting processes

• Prepare financial reports and support month, quarter and year-end closing processes

• Manage payroll processes for local employees

• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate financial recording

• Oversee procurement and inventory processes

• Work closely with headquarters finance management and local teams

• Ensure compliance with accounting procedures, internal controls and local regulations

• Work with external auditors

• Participate in the implementation of a new ERP system

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Economics – required

• 3–5+ years of relevant Controller/accounting experience

• Strong hands-on accounting experience

• Experience managing or overseeing accounting teams

• Advanced Excel skills

• Experience with ERP systems – required

• High-level English – required

• Ability to work independently in an international environment

• Experience in engineering, infrastructure or construction companies – significant advantage

• Experience working in Africa or emerging markets – advantage
