Who we are
We're a stealth, VC-backed deep-tech startup building an AI-powered intelligence platform for complex hardware systems engineering. We pull design, lab, manufacturing, and field data into a single, physics-grounded decision layer, so engineering teams can actually understand, diagnose, and optimize how their systems behave in the real world, not just in simulation.
Why this role
This isn't a typical SI/PI seat. You'll join as a founding domain expert and help define how signal integrity and power integrity are modeled, validated, and applied inside a whole new generation of hardware engineering software. It's hands-on and deeply technical: you'll work inside our platform and directly with real customer hardware, making sure our models reflect the real engineering decisions, trade-offs, and constraints behind every design.
It's for someone who wants to own a domain end to end, work on real systems instead of tidy simulations, and shape a new methodology for how complex hardware actually gets understood.
What you'll own
You'll own Signal Integrity and Power Integrity as core physics domains in the platform, shaping decisions across design, validation, production, and the field. Specifically, you'll:
- Define how SI/PI is modeled, including scope, assumptions, validity boundaries, and confidence levels
- Build and validate physics-based models for PDN behavior, high-speed channels, and board/package/system interactions
- Drive cross-domain reasoning across SI, PI, EM, and thermal to reflect how systems really behave
- Reconcile simulation with real lab, production, and field data
- Lead SI/PI investigations on customer systems, from silicon to system level
- Translate expert reasoning into product capabilities alongside our physics, software, and ML teams
What we're looking for
- BSc/MSc in EE or a related field; PhD a plus
- 8+ years hands-on in Signal Integrity and Power Integrity, with deep expertise in both
- Real experience with high-performance systems such as server-class, AI/HPC, or networking platforms
- Strong Power Integrity depth: PDN modeling, target impedance, decoupling across package and PCB, VRM/POL selection, transient response, package-to-PCB interactions
- Strong Signal Integrity depth: channel design, S-parameter analysis, TDR/VNA characterization, eye and jitter decomposition, BER, crosstalk
- Fluent with tools like SPICE, Sigrity, HFSS, or ADS, and with lab gear such as VNAs, high-bandwidth scopes, BERTs, and electronic loads
- Reasons from first principles while staying grounded in real hardware constraints
- Communicates well across hardware, software, physics, and ML, and thrives in ambiguity with high ownership
Nice to have
- Took a program from prototype through NPI ramp, mass production, and field
- EMI/EMC mitigation and debug, or cross-domain analysis across SI, PI, thermal, and EM
- Thermal-mechanical or package-board co-design
- Worked directly with customers or design partners
- Exposure to AI/ML-enabled engineering tools or data-driven hardware diagnostics
