Wireless Communications Systems Engineer

The Role

• Define and characterize wireless communication systems for LOS and BLOS operations.
• Develop technical requirements specifications and manage subcontractors/vendors responsible for supplying communication system assemblies, including conducting acceptance tests at the supplier’s site.
• Define software requirements for the development of communication system management software.
• Participate in the establishment and setup of a system integration laboratory.
• Integrate and test communication system assemblies and management software to deliver a complete end-to-end communication system.
• Plan and participate in flight trials to validate and demonstrate communication system performance.
• Analyze and investigate flight test results.
• Work directly with customers throughout the development and integration process.
• The role is primarily office- and laboratory-based, with some field work in Israel and at customer sites abroad.

What We’re Looking For

• B.Sc. degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science – required.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Wireless Communications Systems Engineer – required.
• Experience with LOS communication or satellite communications – required.
• Strong knowledge of digital and analog communications, modulation techniques, modems, and encryption techniques – required.
• Strong knowledge of RF, transmitters, amplifiers, and receivers – required.
• Knowledge of antennas, antenna arrays, and electromagnetic wave propagation – required.
• Fluent English – written and spoken – required.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP – an advantage.
