Role Description The Hebrew Transcriber (Freelance) role is a part-time, remote position focused on accurately converting Hebrew audio and video content into written text. Day-to-day tasks include listening to recordings, transcribing spoken Hebrew with correct spelling, punctuation, and formatting, and ensuring alignment with project-specific guidelines. The role may involve annotating speech, tagging metadata, time-stamping segments, and verifying transcription quality and consistency. Hebrew Transcribers collaborate with project coordinators through the DatoviaPlayHouse platform, meet assigned deadlines, and maintain confidentiality and data security when handling client materials.

Qualifications

• Strong Hebrew language skills, including native or near-native fluency in listening, reading, and writing.
• Excellent transcription abilities, with attention to detail, accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation in Hebrew.
• Familiarity with audio and transcription tools, such as media players, transcription software, and basic text editors.
• Ability to follow style guides, formatting standards, and project instructions precisely while maintaining consistency.
• Good time-management skills, reliability in meeting deadlines, and comfort working independently in a remote setting.
• Basic English proficiency for platform communication and understanding project briefs.
• Previous experience in transcription, linguistics, or localization is an advantage but not required.
