Role Description The איש מדיניות ציבורית at CEC is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Tel Aviv District, Israel, with flexibility for partial work from home. In this position, the professional will analyze public policies, prepare policy briefs, and contribute to economic and social impact assessments for clients and internal initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and interpreting data, conducting literature and regulatory reviews, drafting reports and presentations, and supporting the development of evidence-based policy recommendations. The role also involves collaborating with economists, analysts, and stakeholders, participating in client meetings, and helping communicate complex ideas in clear, accessible language. The position requires strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic consulting environment.
Qualifications

• Strong analytical and research skills, including data collection, interpretation, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear policy insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; high proficiency in Hebrew is highly beneficial for local stakeholder engagement.
• Background in public policy, economics, political science, law, or related fields; advanced degree (e.g., MA, MPP, MSc) is an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-disciplinary teams and to engage constructively with public, private, and non-profit stakeholders.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a consulting or similarly demanding environment.
• Comfort with quantitative tools and data analysis software (e.g., Excel, statistical packages) and familiarity with impact evaluation methods is a plus.
• Commitment to evidence-based decision-making, ethical standards, and inclusive, non-discriminatory practices in policy development.
