Data Center Operations Specialist | Central & Northern Israel | Company Car

A leading organization is looking for an experienced Data Center Operations Specialist to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation, monitoring, and maintenance of Data Centers and communication rooms across multiple sites in Central and Northern Israel.

This is a hands-on, field-based position involving physical IT infrastructure, servers and network equipment, environmental systems, inventory management, and coordination with contractors and internal technology teams.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain Data Center environments and ensure infrastructure availability
• Monitor environmental and facility systems, including cooling, UPS, and generators
• Perform physical installation, replacement, and cabling of servers and network equipment
• Work with server, storage, backup, and Disaster Recovery infrastructure
• Perform initial equipment configuration when required
• Oversee and maintain multiple communication rooms across different sites
• Supervise and coordinate work performed by external contractors
• Document equipment entering and leaving Data Center facilities
• Manage and track incoming and outgoing IT inventory
• Collaborate with IT, Infrastructure, Network, and external vendor teams
• Support the implementation of operational and security policies within Data Center environments

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on Data Center operations experience – required
• Strong understanding and practical experience with server and network infrastructure – required
• Hands-on experience with physical installation and cabling of servers and network equipment – required
• Experience with storage, backup, and Disaster Recovery environments
• Experience performing initial configuration of infrastructure equipment
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites and stakeholders
• Willingness to travel regularly between sites in Central and Northern Israel
• Availability to work outside standard business hours when required
• Experience working with and supervising external contractors – an advantage
• Knowledge of information security practices within Data Center environments – an advantage
• Experience with DCIM / NMS and infrastructure monitoring tools – an advantage
