Company Description

AMATUS is focused on revolutionizing blood draws through autonomous robotics, transforming a critical healthcare procedure with advanced technology. We combine robotics, computer vision, and real-time modeling to improve accuracy, safety, and the patient experience.

Currently, we are an early-stage startup born out of a final project at Shenkar and operating within the Shenkar Hub incubator. We are supported by a team of industry experts and we are currently preparing for our pre-seed funding round.

Role Description

As the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) you will lead the technology vision, strategy, and hands-on execution for our autonomous robotics station. Together we will build the initial system architecture, solve complex hardware-to-software translation problems, and eventually scale and manage a cross-functional engineering team.

This is a true partnership: a real co-founder role with significant equity, not just an employee position. There is no salary until we close the pre-seed round. We are building this from the ground up together.

The Technical Challenge

• Advanced Computer Vision: Real-time processing of live imaging data to map complex, hidden vascular structures.
• Robotic Precision: Sustaining sub-millimeter accuracy with a robotic arm, actively compensating for sudden movements and changing physical conditions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Expertise: Strong background in Software Development (computer vision), Robotics, and System Architecture, with the ability to design complex systems and build the initial MVP.
• Product Vision: ability to lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to early deployment in a technology-driven environment.
• Strategic Leadership: The capacity to grow from a hands-on builder into a leader who can mentor a team, prioritize technology roadmaps, and align IT strategy with business goals.
• Academic Background: Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is an advantage.
• Domain Advantage (Bonus): Experience in medical devices, high-reliability domains, or familiarity with regulatory standards and quality assurance for healthcare technologies.
