Financial Controller (Part-Time)

We work with some of the world's leading traffic infrastructure operators, helping them become truly data-driven organisations - and in doing so, reshaping how traffic is managed, made safer, and made ready to support smart vehicles.

At the heart of what we do is a traffic monitoring and management solution built on a unique data fusion engine. We bring together IoT sensors, video feeds and social data streams into a single cloud platform, apply AI to detect traffic issues as they happen, and feed real-time insights straight back to vehicles and traffic control centres. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Financial Controller to join our finance team in a 50% position. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for the day-to-day finance and accounting activities of an international high-tech company with entities in Israel, the UK, and the US. Bookkeeping is outsourced, and the Controller will oversee and work closely with the external bookkeeping providers, auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers.

· Manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations of Valerann's entities in Israel, the UK, and the US.

· Take ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

· Prepare financial statements, management reports, reconciliations, and financial analyses.

· Oversee the external bookkeeping providers and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely recording of the accounting records.

· Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across the group.

· Manage cash flow, payments, collections, and ongoing financial controls.

· Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, payroll providers, banks, and other external service providers.

· Prepare and manage reports, submissions, and supporting documentation for the Israel Innovation Authority (IIA), including grant-related financial reporting and follow-up.

· Support budgeting, forecasting, and budget-vs-actual analysis.

· Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements in all relevant jurisdictions.

· Handle additional hands-on finance and accounting tasks as required.

· CPA qualification following completion of internship - required.

· At least 3 years of post-internship experience in an international high-tech company - required.

· Hands-on experience in accounting, closing processes, financial reporting, and financial controls.

· Experience working with and overseeing external bookkeeping providers.

· Experience with Israel Innovation Authority reporting - strong advantage.

· Experience working with multiple international entities, particularly in Israel, the UK, and the US - advantage.

· Strong Excel skills and experience with financial/accounting systems.

· Excellent English, both written and spoken.

· Independent, detail-oriented, highly organised, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.

Position scope: 50% part-time, with the possibility of increasing to a higher scope in the future, subject to performance and business needs.
