Planning and Permitting Project Manager – Engineering Department

The role includes full responsibility for the project’s engineering and planning aspects, from the point at which it is transferred to the company’s Planning and Engineering departments.

• Reviewing and comparing consultants’ proposals and negotiating contracts through to completion
• Coordinating the planning and permitting processes, including obtaining building permits and permits for design changes
• Leading and managing the detailed planning stage, including engineering reviews and construction planning
• Participating in all project planning meetings and monitoring tasks and timelines
• Preparing meeting summaries and setting deadlines for each task
  
  

• Education: Architect, Practical Architectural Engineer, or Engineer
• Experience managing residential projects for a real estate development company
• Proven experience with permitting processes and working with local authorities, district planning committees, and other regulatory bodies
• Proven ability to lead and manage a large team of consultants – required
• Strong understanding of planning and building systems, with experience in projects during the construction phase
• Proficiency in AutoCAD – required
• Familiarity with all planning stages, including sales plans
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
• BIM experience – an advantage
