Software Quality Assurance Team Lead

Role Description Datos Health is looking for an experienced QA Team Lead to manage our QA and Support teams and own quality, AI-driven automation, deployments, escalations, and technical release management.

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and develop the QA and Support teams.
• Define the testing strategy, quality standards, risk-based coverage, and release quality gates.
• Own smoke, sanity, regression, API, integration, end-to-end, exploratory, and acceptance testing.
• Own the automation roadmap and use AI tools as the primary method for generating and maintaining automated tests; review, debug, and validate all generated code.
• Manage Support priorities and own escalations from Support to QA and Development through resolution.
• Coordinate critical production investigations and ensure clear evidence, ownership, and communication.
• Manage customer deployments, including readiness, version validation, execution, and post-deployment checks.
•  Own technical release management: cut versions, manage release branches and tags, coordinate builds, and ensure each release matches the exact QA-approved commit.
• Work closely with Development, DevOps, Product, Customer Success, and company leadership to improve quality and operational processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in QA or Quality Engineering, including 2+ years as a QA Team Lead, Technical Lead, or equivalent.
• Deep QA expertise in test design, risk-based testing, automation, API/system testing, and release quality.
• Practical experience using AI coding tools to design, generate, review, and maintain automated tests.
• Programming knowledge sufficient to troubleshoot AI-generated code and identify missing scenarios, weak assertions, and unreliable tests.
• Experience with CI/CD, production investigations, deployments, or technical releases.
• Proven team leadership, mentoring, process improvement, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal English, high ownership, independent execution, and strong follow-through.
