Vice President Supply Chain

One of our clients, a rapidly growing global defense technology company, is looking to hire a Vice President Supply Chain to lead and scale its worldwide operations and supply chain organization.

The company develops and manufactures advanced, complex multidisciplinary technology systems that integrate hardware, software, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities. Operating in an international environment and undergoing significant growth and global expansion, the company is strengthening its operational infrastructure to support increasing business activity across multiple markets and locations.

This is a senior executive position for an experienced operations leader with deep expertise in global supply chain management. As VP Supply Chain you will be responsible for developing scalable operational capabilities, creating consistent processes across multiple locations, and managing a complex international ecosystem of suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturing partners.

The role requires a combination of strategic, long-term operational leadership and a highly hands-on approach to solving complex challenges in a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s global operations and supply chain strategy.
• Lead Procurement, NPI, Industrialization, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and supplier-management activities.
• Build scalable operational processes, standards, methodologies, and performance metrics across global operations.
• Manage, develop, and optimize an international network of suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturing partners.
• Ensure component availability, production readiness, product quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.
• Establish effective material planning, inventory management, capacity planning, and supply chain risk-management practices.
• Scale manufacturing and supply chain capabilities in line with rapid business growth and changing demand.
• Develop contingency plans, alternative sourcing strategies, and other mechanisms supporting business continuity.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, R&D, Program Management, Finance, and regional business units.
• Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks and supply chain constraints in real time.
• Professionally lead local operations and supply chain teams within a global matrix organization.
• Recruit, manage, mentor, and develop a strong global operations leadership team.
• Support the operational integration of new sites, business units, and acquired companies.

Requirements

• Significant senior leadership experience in global operations and supply chain within a technology company.
• Deep expertise in global supply chain management.
• Proven experience leading multiple operational functions, including Procurement, NPI, Industrialization, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Quality.
• Experience working with complex multidisciplinary products combining hardware and software.
• Proven experience managing international suppliers, subcontractors, manufacturing partners, and operational teams.
• Demonstrated success scaling manufacturing and supply chain capabilities within a growing global organization.
• Strong technical understanding and the ability to participate effectively in engineering, manufacturing, and operational discussions.
• Proven ability to establish structured and scalable processes while maintaining flexibility and a strong execution-oriented approach.
• Experience managing managers and leading complex cross-functional and matrix relationships.

Experience in defense technology, robotics, or another technology industry involving sophisticated multidisciplinary products is considered a strong advantage.
