About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Process Engineer - Chemistry to join our team and support chemical and surface-treatment processes within our manufacturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an early-career engineer with up to 2 years of experience who is looking to gain hands-on industrial experience, develop strong process engineering capabilities and grow within a global medical device company.

The role combines hands-on engineering, process optimization, technical problem-solving and continuous improvement, with close interfaces across Production, Quality, R&D and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for chemical and surface-treatment processes in Production.
• Support the implementation, stabilization and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
• Analyze process performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and process robustness.
• Investigate production issues and process deviations, identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Drive process improvement activities aimed at reducing defects and improving manufacturing performance.
• Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for day-to-day production challenges.
• Participate in cross-functional development and continuous improvement projects.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, R&D and Engineering teams, as well as external suppliers and service providers.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or a related field.
• Recent graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant industrial experience are welcome to apply.
• Laboratory experience – an advantage.
• Experience or familiarity with chemical processes, surface treatments or the metal industry – an advantage.
• Very good English, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to work independently, learn quickly and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
