Field Application Engineer - FPGA

Redline have been retained by a global leader in electronics distribution to assist in the selection of a Field Applications Engineer to join their Semiconductor business unit supporting some of the most innovative engineering companies across Israel.

The Opportunity

As a trusted technical advisor, you'll work closely with engineering teams developing advanced embedded, AI, communications, industrial, and high-performance computing applications. You'll provide technical guidance throughout the design cycle, helping customers maximise the potential of industry-leading FPGA technologies.

This is a highly visible role offering a blend of technical depth, customer engagement, and commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support for FPGA, SoC and embedded system designs.
• Guide customers from concept through to production, helping overcome technical challenges.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops and hands-on demonstrations.
• Collaborate closely with sales teams to secure new design wins and grow strategic customer relationships.
• Act as the technical bridge between customers and leading semiconductor technology providers.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends in FPGA development, AI acceleration and embedded computing.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years' experience in FPGA development or programmable logic design.
• Highly desirable is knowledge of AMD / Xilinx components.
• Strong background in R&D, embedded systems, or hardware development.
• Experience working with FPGA design tools and development environments.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive, consultative approach.
• Fluent technical English.
