IT Infrastructure Team Leader

A technology company delivering mission-critical SaaS solutions to large enterprises is looking for a hands-on IT Infrastructure Team Leader.

This role combines 70% hands-on technical ownership with 30% team leadership. You will lead four IT and System Engineers while owning the reliability, security, and evolution of 24/7 production environments across on-premises and public cloud infrastructure.

What you’ll do

• Lead and mentor a team of four IT and System Engineers.
• Maintain a strong hands-on presence across Linux, Windows, virtualization, networking, and cloud environments.
• Own the availability and performance of business-critical SaaS production systems.
• Lead infrastructure incident response and coordinate recovery during major production events.
• Design and maintain backup, retention, and Disaster Recovery strategies.
• Drive hybrid and cloud migration initiatives across AWS and Azure.
• Manage enterprise security, remote access, and identity solutions.
• Improve infrastructure efficiency through automation, open-source technologies, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Support ISO 27001, SOC 2, and related compliance processes.
• Manage infrastructure suppliers, licensing, and technical procurement.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of experience leading a small IT, System, or Infrastructure team.
• Strong motivation to remain approximately 70% hands-on.
• Deep Linux administration experience, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, patching, and hardening.
• Proven scripting experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience supporting high-availability, 24/7 SaaS production environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure and hybrid or cloud migrations.
• Strong knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server, routing, switching, and load balancing.
• Experience with enterprise backup platforms such as Veeam, Commvault, or AWS Backup.
• Experience with Check Point or Fortinet, EDR, DLP, VPN, ZTNA, SASE, and MFA.
• Experience with Active Directory or Entra ID, Okta, LDAP, SSO, SAML, or OIDC.
• Practical experience supporting ISO 27001 or similar security standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint.
• High ownership, sound technical judgment, and the ability to lead calmly through complex incidents.

This is a full-time role for an infrastructure leader who wants to stay close to the systems, solve difficult problems, and build reliable environments at enterprise scale.
