Senior PCB Layout Engineer & Professional Team Lead

About the Role

A technology company is seeking a PCB Layout Technical Lead.

The role combines hands-on work on complex PCB layouts with professional leadership, mentoring, and development of a team of PCB Layout Designers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to the PCB Layout team, including task allocation, prioritization, and mentoring.
• Design complex, multilayer PCBs—from schematic capture through the preparation of manufacturing deliverables.
• Conduct layout reviews, perform quality checks, and release deliverables through the PLM system.
• Define and implement work methodologies, design rules, and checklists.
• Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, quality, operations, and PCB manufacturing teams.
• Support manufacturing-related issues, failure investigations, DFM/DFA improvements, and ongoing support for existing products.
• Maintain component libraries, design rules, and CAD infrastructure.
• Evaluate and lead a potential migration from PADS to Altium or Cadence.

Required Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in PCB layout.
• Proven experience designing complex, multilayer PCBs.
• Experience working with PADS, Altium Designer, Cadence, or an equivalent tool.
• Experience preparing manufacturing and assembly deliverables and working with PCB manufacturers.
• Familiarity with DFM/DFA/DFT and engineering release processes.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and understand mechanical requirements.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Good technical English.
