About RavenDB

RavenDB is an established NoSQL document database with over 17 years in production. We power the data layer for global enterprises, critical systems, and thousands of development teams worldwide.

We’re looking for a VP of Marketing to lead our marketing function and build a high-velocity, results-driven marketing engine.

This is a senior leadership role with a strong hands-on component. You’ll lead a team of four while remaining directly involved in strategy, execution, content, campaigns, and measurable business outcomes.

What You'll Own

• Marketing Strategy & Planning – Develop and execute marketing strategies, budgets, team structures, and quarterly plans aligned with revenue goals.
• Pipeline & Revenue Growth – Drive marketing-sourced pipeline and revenue across both developer-led adoption and enterprise sales motions.
• Marketing Operations & Analytics – Build strong operational processes, improve attribution, reporting, KPIs, and campaign efficiency.
• Digital & Lifecycle Marketing – Optimize our websites for conversion and develop automated customer journeys that drive engagement and retention.
• Technical Content – Build and scale a technical content engine that speaks authentically to developers and technical audiences.
• GTM & Product Launches – Lead go-to-market campaigns and product launches, including our upcoming Quill release.
• Full Marketing Function – Oversee Product Marketing, Field Marketing, ABM, Paid Channels, Marketplace Partnerships, Developer Relations, and Brand.

What We're Looking For

• Proven marketing leadership experience in developer infrastructure, databases, or commercial open-source software.
• Strong understanding of technical buyer personas and developer audiences.
• A proven track record of managing both self-serve/developer adoption and enterprise GTM motions.
• Experience leading a lean, agile team while remaining hands-on with execution and content.
• Strong ownership of pipeline, revenue metrics, and marketing attribution.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a focus on accountability and execution.
• A track record of measurable business impact – we want to understand what you personally delivered and how it affected pipeline, revenue, or key business milestones.
• Sufficient technical depth to engage confidently with developers, solution architects, and technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI/vector search infrastructure.
• Experience launching new products or product lines.
• Strong experience building developer adoption and technical communities.
