SOC Analyst | Central Region | Part-Time

Mertens Malam Team is hiring a SOC Analyst for a leading organization in the Central Region. The role is part of the organization's information security monitoring operation and includes monitoring, analyzing, diagnosing, and investigating security alerts and incidents.

Responsibilities

Receive, analyze, diagnose, and investigate information security alerts and incidents

Provide initial response to security incidents

Route incidents to the relevant teams and follow them through to resolution

Work with SIEM, SOC, Firewall, Antivirus, IDS, and monitoring systems

Operate and maintain log and alert forwarding processes

Work closely with infrastructure teams, support teams, and end users

Document incidents in the incident management system

Handle a variety of tasks across information security, information systems, and communications

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience monitoring information security systems or working in a SOC environment

At least 1 year of experience analyzing and handling information security incidents

Knowledge and experience working with Firewall, Antivirus, IDS, and monitoring systems

Familiarity with network topologies, communication protocols, and Windows environments

Information Security course certification of at least 100 hours, completed locally or abroad
