This role is a replacement to ensure business continuity within the Operations & Maintenance team at the Sorek power plant in Israel. As a Specialist Para-Professional, this position is essential for maintaining the operational reliability and safety of the plant's mechanical systems. To support this objective, the role is structured around three core areas: hands-on corrective and preventive maintenance of key mechanical equipment, operational support and system integrity analysis, and leadership in safety, compliance, and team guidance. This approach ensures both immediate issue resolution and long-term asset performance. Given the focus on advanced technical work and operational leadership, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience with power plant mechanical systems, particularly rotating equipment. A relevant technical education and the proven ability to work with limited supervision while mentoring junior staff are critical requirements for this position.

What You Need To Make a Difference

• 50% Mechanical Systems Maintenance & Repair
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform complex repairs on critical mechanical equipment, including gas turbines, pumps, compressors, and valves.
• Execute corrective maintenance activities in response to equipment failures to minimize downtime and restore operational capacity.
• Perform precision mechanical tasks such as alignment, balancing, and fitting of components during overhauls and repairs.
• Respond to unscheduled maintenance demands and emergency situations, applying advanced problem-solving skills under pressure.
  
• 30% Preventive Maintenance & Operational Integrity
• Conduct scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance routines on all mechanical plant systems according to the maintenance plan.
• Analyze equipment performance data and inspection reports to identify potential issues and recommend proactive maintenance actions.
• Support the planning and scheduling of major maintenance activities and overhauls, providing technical input on scope and resources.
• Maintain and calibrate specialized mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure accuracy and readiness.
  
• 20% Safety, Compliance & Team Support
• Lead daily maintenance operations, delegating tasks and reviewing the work of lower-level technicians to ensure quality and safety.
• Strictly adhere to all site safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and actively participate in safety meetings and initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance work, including service reports, parts usage, and equipment history logs.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior maintenance team members to develop their technical skills.
  
  

Education

• Vocational training, technical diploma, or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive hands-on experience (typically 5+ years) in mechanical maintenance within a power generation, or similar heavy industrial environment.

התפקיד הינו חלק מצוות האחזקה של תחנת הכוח, בכפיפות למנהל האחזקה, ומהווה תפקיד Hands-On הכולל עבודה מעשית בשטח, אחריות על ציוד מכאני קריטי, הובלת משימות אחזקה ופיקוח על עבודות קבלנים.

התפקיד מיועד לאיש אחזקה מנוסה, בעל יכולת טכנית גבוהה, גישה מעשית ונכונות לעבודה בשטח, אשר יודע לקחת אחריות, להוביל משימות מקצה לקצה ולספק פתרונות מקצועיים בסביבה תעשייתית מורכבת.

תחומי אחריות

• ביצוע עבודות אחזקה מונעת (Preventive Maintenance) ואחזקת שבר (Corrective Maintenance) במערכות מכאניות של תחנת הכוח.
• אבחון תקלות מכאניות, ביצוע ניתוחי כשל ומתן פתרונות מקצועיים לשיפור אמינות וזמינות הציוד.
• אחריות להכנה, תכנון, תיאום והובלת משימות אחזקה במסגרת השבתות, שיפוצים שנתיים.
• ביצוע עבודות שטח Hands-On
• פיקוח, ליווי ובקרה על עבודות קבלנים, לרבות בטיחות, איכות ביצוע ועמידה בלוחות זמנים.
• עבודה מול ממשקים פנימיים וחיצוניים לצורך קידום משימות אחזקה ופרויקטים.
• עבודה מול יצרני ציוד, ספקים ונותני שירות בארץ ובחו"ל.
• כתיבת דוחות טכניים, סיכומי עבודה והתכתבויות מקצועיות בעברית ובאנגלית, מעקב אחר משימות ודיווח ביצועים.
• עבודה בהתאם לנהלי בטיחות, איכות וסביבה.
  
  

דרישות תפקיד:

• הנדסאי/ת מכונות – יתרון.
• מועמדים בעלי ניסיון מעשי משמעותי באחזקה מכאנית בתעשייה יישקלו גם ללא תעודת הנדסאי.
• לפחות 3-5 שנות ניסיון מעשי (Hands-On) באחזקה מכאנית בתעשייה תהליכית, תחנות כוח,התפלות מיים, מפעלים תעשייתיים מורכבים – חובה.
• ניסיון בפיקוח והפעלת קבלנים ועבודות אחזקה מורכבות – חובה.
• ניסיון בהובלת משימות אחזקה משלב התכנון ועד לסגירתן – יתרון משמעותי.
