Mechanical Design Engineer | Airborne Systems | Leading Defense Organization

A leading defense organization in the Shfela area is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced mechanical systems for airborne defense projects.

The role includes engineering responsibility throughout the full product lifecycle – from concept and design through integration, testing, production, and deployment – while working on complex multidisciplinary airborne systems.

What You'll Do

• Lead the mechanical design and development of advanced systems and assemblies
• Design mechanical structures, assemblies, and mechanisms
• Take engineering ownership of mechanical system design, integration, and implementation
• Work on complex airborne systems and aerial platforms
• Lead engineering development activities from initial design through production and deployment
• Support testing, experiments, and validation processes
• Provide engineering solutions to complex mechanical and system-level challenges
• Collaborate with Systems, Avionics, Electronics, Software, Manufacturing, and Integration teams
• Professionally lead engineering activities within complex defense projects
• Work with customers and defense stakeholders throughout project execution

What We're Looking For

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering – required
• 5+ years of professional Mechanical Engineering experience – required
• Significant experience with complex defense and/or airborne systems – required
• Experience designing and developing airborne systems, UAVs, unmanned aerial platforms, airborne weapon systems, missile systems, or aerial platforms
• Proven experience in mechanical design and complex system integration
• Experience working in multidisciplinary and matrix engineering environments
• Strong system-level engineering perspective
• Ability to solve complex engineering challenges
• Strong technical leadership capabilities
