Senior Hardware System Engineer

A medical robotics startup developing a complex multidisciplinary surgical system is looking for a highly experienced Senior Hardware System Engineer with strong system-level thinking, deep hands-on hardware expertise and experience developing complex medical products

What you’ll do:

• Lead hardware architecture and system-level design
• Own complex board and system design activities
• Perform bring-up, debugging and integration of multidisciplinary hardware systems
• Lead HW/SW integration and support system-level troubleshooting
• Participate in design reviews, V&V activities and technical decision-making
• Work closely with software, mechanics, system, regulatory and manufacturing teams
• Develop and integrate motion-control-related hardware, including servo systems, BLDC motors, FOC and encoders

Requirements:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years of hands-on hardware development experience
• Experience in board design and complex multidisciplinary system design
• Experience developing complex medical devices
• Experience with hardware bring-up, debugging and multidisciplinary system integration
• Familiarity with medical device standards and development processes
• Experience with servo systems, BLDC motors, FOC and encoders – advantage
