Role Description The Service Technician is a full-time role based in the Tel Aviv District, Israel, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home. In this role, the technician will perform installation, maintenance, and repair of laboratory equipment and analytical systems supplied by SOLTEK, both in the field and in-house. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing technical issues, troubleshooting equipment failures, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring that instruments operate according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements. The Service Technician will document service activities, prepare reports, and coordinate with the project and sales teams to support customer needs. Regular interaction with clients to provide training, guidance, and responsive customer service is expected, along with occasional travel to customer sites across Israel.
Qualifications

• Strong maintenance and repair skills, with the ability to perform routine and complex equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostics for laboratory instruments and related technologies.
• Experience in field service, including on-site visits, installations, and technical support.
• Solid customer service skills, with a focus on clear communication and professional client interaction.
• General maintenance capabilities and practical hands-on technical aptitude.
• Relevant technical education (e.g., in electronics, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related field) or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and standard operating procedures.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple service requests and priorities.
• Comfort with hybrid work, including travel within Israel and use of digital tools for remote support.
• Experience in laboratory, pharmaceutical, food, or related industries is an advantage.
