Who we are looking for

We are seeking a highly skilled Algorithm Engineer with a strong focus on classical computer vision, image processing, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in end-to-end development — from research and prototyping to production deployment — and a passion for applying advanced algorithms to transform the field of medical robotics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge algorithms to enhance the accuracy, robustness, and efficiency of robotic surgical systems.
• Apply deep learning, computer vision, and advanced data analysis techniques to solve challenging perception and decision-making problems.
• Lead end-to-end development cycles: problem definition, algorithm design, implementation, optimization, and integration into real-time systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software, hardware, and clinical experts, to ensure algorithms meet system and clinical requirements.
• Validate and refine algorithms through simulation, lab testing, and clinical feedback.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in algorithm development, with a strong track record in classical computer vision, image processing, and 3D/geometric computer vision.
• Hands-on experience developing camera-based computer vision algorithms, including areas such as camera calibration, SLAM, visual odometry, 3D vision, pose estimation, or related geometric vision techniques.
• Hands-on experience in the full development lifecycle — from concept and algorithm design through implementation, testing, optimization, integration, and deployment.
• Solid mathematical foundation, with a strong understanding of geometry and its application to computer vision problems.
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++.
• Experience in robotics, control systems, autonomous navigation, sensor fusion, or medical devices – an advantage.
• Experience with Deep Learning and modern learning-based computer vision methods – an advantage.
• Experience with validation of algorithm solutions for medical devices – an advantage.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
