Embedded Software Engineer

Role Description-

• Serving as a Senior Embedded DSP Firmware Engineer, leading the implementation, optimization, and integration of cutting-edge acoustic Beamforming and audio algorithms on embedded hardware.
• Developing production-grade, low-latency firmware in C and C++ tailored for microcontrollers, embedded DSP cores, and resource-constrained processing architectures.
• Translating complex theoretical models into high-performance, real-time DSP implementations in tight partnership with Algorithm Researchers.
• Implementing core digital signal processing functions, including FFT, digital filtering (FIR/IIR), spectral analysis, and noise suppression blocks.
• Designing and executing firmware architectures running on Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) with an emphasis on determinism, concurrency, and robust inter-task communication.
• Driving extreme low-power system optimizations (power profiling, clock gating, sleep states) to maximize battery longevity on wearable and mobile platforms.
• Collaborating within an Agile engineering cadence alongside Hardware, System, and QA engineering teams to support bring-up and verification.

Requirements-

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (B.Sc. / M.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline – Mandatory
• 5+ years of professional hands-on experience in Embedded Firmware Development, with a strong focus on DSP implementation – Mandatory
• Strong programming skills in C and C++ for embedded real-time systems – Mandatory
• Hands-on experience implementing common DSP functionalities and primitives (e.g., FFT, digital filters) – Mandatory
• Proven track record developing and deploying real-time DSP algorithms in close collaboration with Algorithm / Research teams – Mandatory
• Extensive hands-on experience with microcontrollers (MCUs) and embedded processor architectures – Mandatory
• Proven hands-on experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) – Mandatory
• Proven expertise in low-power design techniques and power consumption optimization – Mandatory
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies – Mandatory
• Familiarity with audio/acoustic peripherals (I2S, PDM, codecs) and audio lab testing tools – Advantage
