Back End Engineer

Operating with a high-caliber team of dozens of engineers and researchers, the company is located in the Sharon region adjacent to the train station.

Role Description

• Serving as a Senior Backend Software Engineer within the core backend team, reporting directly to the Backend Team Lead.
• Architecting and developing distributed backend services, fleet management platforms, and robot control applications primarily in Python.
• Building scalable cloud infrastructure and services on AWS to orchestrate real-time communications, teleoperation, and telemetry across fleets of humanoid robots.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with Robotics Engineers, Algorithm Researchers, Computer Vision specialists, and Deep Learning teams to integrate cutting-edge AI models into live production applications.
• Leveraging modern AI development tools and frameworks to accelerate software delivery and system capabilities.
• Designing high-throughput, low-latency communication pipelines, APIs, and data-storage solutions for mission-critical robotic operations.

Requirements

• Proven background of academic or professional excellence: B.Sc. in Computer Science or an Exact Science from a leading university (Technion preferred) OR alumnus of an elite IDF technological unit (Unit 81 highly preferred / 8200 / Talpiot / Unit 49) – Mandatory
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience in Python – Mandatory
• Hands-on experience with Message Brokers: Kafka or RabbitMQ – Advantage
• Professional experience with TypeScript – Advantage
• Practical experience developing in Cloud environments (AWS preferred) – Advantage
• Hands-on experience with SQL or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis) – Advantage
