The Role:

We are looking for a Presales Engineer to own the technical side of our customer engagements, from the first discovery conversation through solution design, proposal and handover to delivery.

You will be the technical authority in the room.

You will sit with customers to understand what they are actually trying to build, translate that into a concrete architecture and bill of materials, defend the design against competing proposals, and make sure what we sell is what we can deliver.

This is a customer-facing engineering role, not a sales-support role.

You will work directly with our founders, with vendor teams, and with customers' architects and IT leadership.

What You'll Do

• Lead technical discovery with prospective and existing customers, understand workloads, constraints, timelines, budget and existing environment
• Design end-to-end solutions: compute, networking, storage, virtualization, orchestration, security and management
• Build accurate bills of materials, rack layouts, topology diagrams and sizing calculations
• Write technical proposals, solution documents, statements of work and responses to RFPs and tenders
• Present and defend designs to customer technical teams and decision-makers
• Run and support proofs of concept, benchmarks and demos
• Work with vendors and distributors on product selection, configuration validation, pricing and roadmap
• Partner with our delivery engineers on a clean handover - the design you sell is the design that gets built
• Keep pace with the technology: new platforms, fabrics, reference architectures and certifications
• Feed real customer requirements back into our service portfolio and go-to-market

What You Bring:

Must Have

• Prior presales, solution architecture, professional services or consulting experience
• Hands-on background in enterprise or data center infrastructure - compute, networking, storage or virtualization
• Solid Linux fundamentals and comfort working at the command line
• Understanding of data center networking (L2/L3, routing, switching, high-speed fabrics) and storage concepts
• Ability to design a solution and explain it clearly to both engineers and executives
• Strong written English - you will be producing customer-facing documents
• Fluent Hebrew and English, spoken
• Customer-facing confidence: you can run a meeting, handle a hard technical objection, and say “I'll check and come back to you” when that's the honest answer
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and data centers in Israel

Advantage

• Experience with GPU / AI infrastructure and HPC environments
• Familiarity with high-performance fabrics (InfiniBand and/or high-speed Ethernet), parallel and enterprise storage platforms
• Workload orchestration — job schedulers and/or Kubernetes
• Virtualization and private cloud platforms
• Network and endpoint security platforms
• Monitoring and observability stacks
• Vendor certifications (NVIDIA, VMware, Red Hat, Fortinet, or equivalent)
• Experience with air-gapped, regulated or classified environments
• Experience responding to public-sector or enterprise tenders
