Data Scientist

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join the Lab Unit at Central Israel.

The unit is responsible for developing advanced analytical models to solve business challenges and support strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Understand business problems and formulate and develop appropriate analytical solutions
• Work with databases, complex queries, and process development using SQL
• Build and maintain models using Python
• Deploy models from development environments to production
• Perform analyses and effectively present findings and insights to stakeholders
• Apply coding best practices and software development methodologies
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Research teams
• Work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
  
  

• Relevant academic degree in Economics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering (Information Systems), Statistics, or a related field
• Strong ability to understand business problems and formulate and develop appropriate analytical solutions
• High proficiency in SQL (working with databases, complex queries, and process development) and Python
• At least 1–2 years of experience working as a Data Scientist
• Experience deploying models from development environments to production
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to perform analyses and effectively present findings and insights
• Knowledge and understanding of coding best practices and software development methodologies
• Advantage: Experience with NLP models, particularly Transformers and BERT, as well as Information Retrieval and Generative AI technologies (e.g., RAG, LLMs, and related frameworks)
• Advantage: Previous experience working as a Data Analyst
• Advantage: Previous experience in financial services or other traditional/enterprise organizations
• Significant advantage: Experience working with Dataiku
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with Product, Engineering, and Research teams
