Global Monthly Close Process Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead the design and implementation of a new global monthly financial closing and reporting system and process across more than 80 subsidiaries worldwide including the redesign of consolidation processes at the group level.

The role is part of a broader finance transformation initiative, including the implementation of a new financial consolidation system. This position will focus on establishing a dedicated monthly reporting stream, that will standardize global processes, improve accuracy, enhance intercompany reconciliation processes, setting timelines, and simplify quarterly reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership & Future Process Design
• Lead the end-to-end design of a standardized global monthly close and monthly reporting process across all entities
• Define clear timelines, milestones, and deliverables across all project phases
• Develop standard templates, procedures, and reporting requirements
• Establish governance, controls, and reporting frameworks to support the process
• Ensure full alignment with group consolidation and reporting needs
• Current State Assessment and Benchmarking
• Analyze existing monthly close processes across global subsidiaries
• Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and inconsistencies in current practices
• Benchmark against best practices in similar global organizations
• System Implementation (New Consolidation System)
• Translate business requirements into system specifications
• Support the configuration and design of the monthly reporting process within the new consolidation system
• Collaborate closely with IT and implementation partners
• Intercompany Process Enhancement
• Redesign the intercompany process within the new consolidation system as a dedicated workstream, independent of the monthly close process
• Transition from balance-based processes to a more detailed and efficient transactional or reconciliation approach
• Simplify and improve intercompany reconciliation processes across entities
• Global Rollout & Change Management
• Lead the rollout and adoption of the new process across all subsidiaries
• Drive stakeholder engagement across finance teams globally
• Deliver training, guidance, and ongoing support to local teams
• Ensure smooth transition and full adoption
