Senior Algorithm Engineer

One of our clients, a leading AI-driven healthcare technology company, is looking to hire a Senior Algorithm Engineer to join its Algorithms team.

The company develops advanced AI-based SaaS solutions for medical diagnostics, with a focus on supporting faster and more accurate cancer diagnosis. Its technology analyzes large-scale, high-resolution medical imaging data and is used in real-world clinical environments by healthcare professionals worldwide. The company operates globally, with a presence in both Israel and the US.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Algorithm Engineer, you will play a key role in developing innovative algorithmic solutions for medical diagnostics. You will:

• Work with large, unique datasets of high-resolution pathology images collected from leading medical institutions worldwide.
• Research, develop, and optimize algorithms for complex real-world problems.
• Apply Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision techniques.
• Develop production-level algorithms and integrate them into SaaS products.
• Receive direct feedback from clinicians using the technology in live clinical settings.
• Collaborate closely with Machine Learning experts, software engineers, researchers, and medical professionals.

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science or an equivalent field – required.
• MSc or PhD – strong advantage/preference.
• At least 5 years of experience in algorithm development within a SaaS/product company – required.
• Hands-on experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, or algorithm development – required.
• Computer Vision background – strong advantage, including relevant experience gained in leading technological military units.
• Strong Python programming skills – required.
• Proven ability to design, develop, and implement production-level code.
• Experience with TensorFlow and/or PyTorch – advantage.
• Strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Additional Information

The position is based in Tel Aviv, approximately 5–10 minutes from a train station, and follows a hybrid model of 3 days from the office and 2 days from home.
