ARD2K is a premier luxury furniture retailer, and we are looking for a sharp, dual-focused Retail Accountant to join us. This role goes beyond standard bookkeeping; you will be the financial architect of our retail operations, ensuring every transaction is accurate and every asset is accounted for.

🎯 The Mission

Your goal is to maintain the total financial integrity of the company while ensuring our inventory and logistics systems are optimized for scale.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Core Financial Accounting

• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Tax & Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all statutory requirements (GCT, Income Tax, Payroll Taxes, etc.).
• Payables & Receivables: Oversee the full AP/AR cycle, ensuring suppliers are paid and customer accounts (including Hire Purchase) are current.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts and merchant credit card accounts.

2. Inventory & Logistics Analysis

• QuickBooks Master: Lead the optimization of QuickBooks Inventory specifically for our furniture retail environment.
• Imports & Costing: Manage the tracking of imports and landed costs to ensure accurate product margins.
• Stock Precision: Ensure our sales team has 100% accurate, real-time availability data through rigorous system maintenance.
• Process Controls: Build and enforce internal controls for Layaway and Hire Purchase plans to minimize financial risk.

3. Strategic Reporting

• Dashboards: Develop daily and weekly reporting systems to give leadership a clear view of sales performance, stock turns, and liquidity.
• Collaboration: Partner with the Warehouse and Store Managers to ensure physical stock matches the digital record.

Who You Are

• Qualified: You hold an appropriate ACCA certification.
• Experienced: Minimum of 3 years in a retail accounting role with a heavy focus on inventory management.
• Software Savvy: Advanced expertise in QuickBooks, particularly in inventory configuration and payroll modules.
• Analytical: You don't just record data; you analyze it to find opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Communicator: You can translate complex financial reports into actionable insights for the wider management team.
