Youth Movement Shaliach

Role Description

The purpose of the shlichut is to build a meaningful bridge between Israel and Jewish communities in the Diaspora, strengthening their connection to Jewish identity, Zionism, and Israel.

The Youth Movement Shaliach/Shlicha will work closely with local Hanoar Hatzioni leadership, madrichim, and ken coordinators to guide and strengthen the movement within the community.

This is a dynamic and challenging role that combines educational leadership, community building, project management, and the development of meaningful Jewish and Zionist educational experiences.

Shlichim serve on the front line of the relationship between Israel and Jewish communities around the world. They bring an authentic and informed perspective on life in Israel while helping each community discover and develop its own connection to the shared story of Israel and the Jewish people.

The position offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact while gaining significant professional experience in education, leadership, organizational development, and international community work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the development of the local Hanoar Hatzioni movement.
• Mentor, guide, and advise local movement leaders, ken coordinators, and madrichim.
• Help plan the movement’s annual educational program, regular activities, and special events.
• Develop relevant and engaging educational content about Israel, Judaism, Zionism, leadership, and Hanoar Hatzioni’s values.
• Facilitate educational activities, workshops, seminars, and lectures.
• Support the planning and implementation of seminars, camps, community events, and other educational projects.
• Strengthen Jewish, Zionist, humanistic, and pioneering identity within the movement.
• Represent Hanoar Hatzioni and Israel in community forums and local organizations.
• Build partnerships with Jewish institutions, schools, youth organizations, and community leaders.
• Support organizational processes, project management, and budget planning.
• Connect participants with relevant educational programs and opportunities in Israel.
• Encourage and support young people interested in participating in Hanoar Hatzioni and Israel-based programs.
• Serve as a reliable and meaningful source of information about Israel, adapting conversations and educational content to the local context.

Candidate profile

We are looking for someone who is:

• Aged 22–38.
• Experienced in youth movements and informal education.
• Experienced in leadership, coordination, or organizational management.
• Deeply connected to Jewish and Zionist education.
• Aligned with the values and educational vision of Hanoar Hatzioni.
• Fluent in Spanish.
• Able to connect naturally with young people and local leadership.
• Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility in the field.
• Creative, proactive, energetic, and motivated to initiate change.
• Capable of planning and leading educational projects and events from concept to execution.
• Able to collaborate with local Jewish communities, institutions, and other youth movements.
• Representative, engaging, adaptable, and confident in public-facing settings.
• Willing and able to relocate to a Jewish community in Latin America.
