Electrical Engineer - Electric Motors About the Role

AIR is looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to join our propulsion engineering team and contribute to the development, integration, and testing of advanced electric propulsion and power systems for next-generation aircraft.

The role combines hands-on electrical engineering with system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with mechanical, avionics, and software teams.

• Support the development and integration of electric motors and motor controllers.
• Lead and support testing and performance evaluation of electric motors, motor controllers, and power systems.
• Perform system integration activities across electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and system-level issues and drive them to resolution.
• Participate in the development and improvement of electrical architectures and interfaces.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support prototype builds, laboratory testing, and integration activities.
• Work with suppliers and external partners as needed.

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering.
• Strong experience with electric motors and motor controllers.
• Experience in power electronics and electrical power systems.
• Hands-on experience with system integration, testing, and validation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with complex multidisciplinary systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience in the Aerospace, eVTOL, UAV, Electric Vehicle, or automotive industries.
• Experience with high-voltage electrical systems.
• Familiarity with aircraft electrical systems or aerospace certification standards.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
