Finance Manager

For one of our clients, a company operating in the financial services and credit sector, we are seeking an experienced, hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of the company’s ongoing financial activity.

The role combines cash flow and funding management, budgeting, financial reporting, and controls, with ongoing collaboration with senior management, banks and other funding providers, the company’s external accountant, and additional professional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cash flow reporting and forecasting.
• Plan and manage funding sources to support the company’s growth and expansion of its credit portfolio, while optimizing the utilization of available credit facilities.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with banks and other funding providers.
• Oversee payments, transfers, collections, and other day-to-day financial transactions.
• Manage collateral requirements and support compliance with financial covenants.
• Build and manage the company’s annual budget.
• Perform budget-versus-actual analysis and prepare profit and loss reports and other management reports.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Establish and perform financial controls and oversee tax-related reporting.
• Work closely with the company’s external accountant.
• Support the ongoing operation of the company’s core and financial systems.
• Perform financial calculations and analyses as required.
• Professionally supervise and guide the company’s bookkeeper.

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant with at least seven years of professional experience—required.
• Willingness to work in a highly hands-on capacity and manage both financial oversight and day-to-day execution.
• Strong accounting and financial knowledge.
• Proven ability to work with financial statements, cash flow data, budgets, and management reports.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to learn new business and financial processes quickly.
• High level of ownership, initiative, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Strong motivation and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
