Credit Analyst

For one of our clients, a growing company in the financial services and credit sector, we are seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join its Credit and Risk Management team.

This role offers end-to-end involvement in the credit underwriting process—from analyzing a borrower’s financial position and business activity to presenting a well-supported credit recommendation. The position also includes ongoing portfolio monitoring and close collaboration with relationship managers, sales teams, and other internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of comprehensive credit applications, including financial and business analysis, data processing, and research using relevant information sources.
• Conduct in-depth discussions with credit applicants to evaluate their business activity, financial position, funding needs, and risk profile.
• Formulate clear, well-reasoned credit recommendations.
• Participate in Credit Committee meetings as required.
• Support the ongoing monitoring and periodic review of the company’s credit portfolio.
• Record approved credit decisions in the company’s systems and communicate them to the relevant stakeholders.
• Work closely with commercial, client-facing, and operational teams throughout the credit process.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience as a Credit Analyst, including hands-on responsibility for preparing credit applications—required.
• Experience in a commercial or corporate banking division, or with a non-bank lender—required.
• Strong ability to analyze financial statements, business performance, and credit risk.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and professional judgment.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple interfaces and priorities.
• High level of accountability, intellectual curiosity, and motivation to develop professionally.
• Willingness to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment and invest additional hours when required.
