VP R&D (Gaming / High-Scale B2C)

A fast-growing, product-driven international company is looking for a visionary, product-minded VP R&D to lead and scale its global engineering organization.

Please Note: This position requires full relocation to Europe. A comprehensive, top-tier relocation and compensation package will be provided.

Role Overview:

This is an executive leadership role for a proven technology leader who combines deep engineering expertise with a strong product orientation, driving high-load systems that directly impact user engagement, retention, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Own and lead the end-to-end R&D strategy, translating product vision and business goals into a scalable, high-performance technology roadmap.
• Scale & Organization: Lead, mentor, and scale multidisciplinary engineering teams across the full product lifecycle (discovery, architecture, development, release, and continuous iteration).
• Product & Engineering Partnership: Partner closely with Product, Data, and Executive leadership to build features that deliver measurable business impact.
• Engineering Excellence: Drive standards across modern architecture, code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and SRE principles for high-traffic, real-time platforms.
• Velocity & Agility: Foster a high-paced, accountable engineering culture enabling frequent releases, experimentation, and rapid learning without compromising stability.
• Resource & Tech Management: Lead R&D capacity planning, technical debt mitigation, and explore modern technologies (including AI-driven capabilities) to enhance development efficiency.

Requirements & Relocation Criteria:

• RELOCATION (MANDATORY): Full willingness and availability to relocate to Europe.
• Experience: 10–15+ years in software engineering, including at least 5+ years leading multiple engineering teams or an entire R&D organization.
• Leadership Background: Proven track record as a VP R&D, VP Engineering, Head of R&D, or Director of Engineering within a product-driven company (Must).
• Industry Focus: Proven experience in Forex, Online Gaming, or high-scale, high-engagement B2C product environments (Highly preferred).
• Technical Depth: Deep background in modern distributed architectures, backend/frontend systems, cloud infrastructure, microservices, and Kubernetes.
• Product Mindset: Strong understanding of user behavior, experimentation, monetization, retention, and business KPIs.
• Execution: Strong background in high-velocity delivery models, automated testing, observability, and managing technical trade-offs at scale.
