Junior Mechanical Design Engineer

RNC Technologies develops and manufactures advanced solid-state touch interfaces, sensors, panels, and electronic modules for demanding OEM applications. From Israel, we support customers worldwide with customized HMI solutions for rugged outdoor, industrial, and public-use products.

We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of new products and customer-specific solutions.

This position is particularly suitable for a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student who is close to completing their degree, or a recent graduate at the beginning of their engineering career. Extensive professional experience is not required. We provide training, close guidance from experienced engineers, and the opportunity to work on real products for international customers.

The ideal candidate is comfortable using SolidWorks, enjoys solving practical engineering challenges, and is interested in the connection between mechanical design, electronics, materials, manufacturing processes, and product reliability.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to new product development and customer-specific engineering solutions
• Review customer requirements and help assess design feasibility
• Develop mechanical concepts, 3D models, assemblies, and production drawings
• Select appropriate materials, tolerances, and manufacturing methods
• Support the mechanical integration of electronic components and PCBs
• Work closely with electronics, production, purchasing, and project teams
• Participate in prototype development, testing, and design improvements
• Help optimize products for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost

Qualifications

• Fourth-year student nearing completion of a degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate
• Experience using SolidWorks through academic projects, personal projects, internships, or professional work
• Good understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Good written and spoken English
• Practical, curious, motivated, and eager to develop professionally
• Able to take responsibility and work independently with guidance
• Comfortable working in a small, multidisciplinary, fast-moving team

Preferred Experience

The following are advantageous but not required:

• Hands-on technical, engineering, or industry experience
• Familiarity with electronic products, PCBs, or electromechanical assemblies
• Experience integrating PCBs and electronic components into mechanical enclosures
• Familiarity with prototyping and manufacturing methods
• Experience with Priority or another ERP system
• Familiarity with Altium Designer
