Role Description The UK Expert Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based in Abuja. The counsellor will guide prospective students through the process of applying to UK institutions, including program selection, application preparation, and documentation review. Daily responsibilities include conducting consultations, explaining admission and visa requirements, advising on timelines and procedures, and maintaining accurate student records. The role also involves liaising with internal visa processing teams, providing regular updates to students and families, and ensuring compliance with relevant UK education and immigration guidelines. The counsellor will contribute to outreach activities, such as information sessions and presentations, to promote UK study opportunities.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of UK higher education systems, admission requirements, and common study pathways.
• Experience providing student counseling or advisory services, preferably in international education or visa support.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex processes clearly and support diverse student backgrounds.
• Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including handling multiple cases and meeting strict deadlines.
• Attention to detail in reviewing applications, documentation, and compliance-related materials.
• Proficiency with standard office software and student or client management tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, International Relations, Counseling, or a related field; relevant professional training or certifications are an advantage.
• Demonstrated integrity, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to non-discriminatory, student-centered service.
