Data Engineer

A leading classified technology organization in Central Israel is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a complex, large-scale technology environment.

The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining data processes, with a strong focus on ETL, databases, data validation, source analysis, infrastructure architecture, and environment management.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines
• Integrate, transform, and process data from multiple sources
• Perform data validation and source analysis
• Work with databases and data models
• Support the design and planning of server architecture and computing resources
• Manage development environments and version control processes
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and optimize existing processes
• Collaborate with technology teams in a complex enterprise environment

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of relevant Data Engineering experience – required
• Proven hands-on experience with ETL tools and processes
• Experience with data validation and data source analysis
• Strong experience working with databases
• Experience or strong understanding of server and infrastructure architecture
• Experience with version control and environment management
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and system-level thinking skills
• Valid Level 3 security clearance or higher – required

Education – One of the Following Is Required

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science
• Practical Software Engineering diploma
• Another bachelor's degree combined with at least 200 hours of Information Systems training, including at least 100 hours in Data Engineering
• At least 300 hours of Information Systems training, including at least 100 hours in Data Engineering, combined with the additional required professional experience
• Graduate of a recognized military technology unit with relevant professional experience, subject to applicable approval
