Hiring for a confidential, AI-enabled Deep-Tech startup developing a next-generation computational medical imaging platform.

The technology combines advanced software, cloud computing, Signal Processing, numerical algorithms, Deep Learning, physical sensors and large-scale multi-GPU computation to create a new category of medical imaging.

The company has grown to more than 20 employees and is exceptionally well-funded, providing strong stability and the resources required to solve ambitious, long-term scientific and engineering challenges.

While the company is still at an early stage, the product and core technology are already highly advanced. This creates a rare opportunity to join at a point where there is substantial technological progress, while the team is still small enough for every senior engineer to have a meaningful influence on the product, architecture and engineering culture.

The core R&D team is based in Israel, with a presence in the United States and a product designed for the global healthcare market.

The company is led by experienced second-time entrepreneurs and brings together software engineers, algorithm developers, physicists, hardware specialists, researchers and clinicians.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is a genuine Python All-Around Developer.

This is not a standard Web Backend position. It is a broad, hands-on role spanning production software, cloud infrastructure, research workflows, data pipelines, scientific computing, GPU environments and hardware-software integration.

You will join a small and growing software team and report directly to the VP of Software. You will also work closely with the company’s algorithm, research, hardware and clinical teams.

Because the team is still small and the product is being built from the ground up, this role offers significant ownership and the ability to directly influence technical decisions, software architecture, development processes and the future direction of the product.

We are looking for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, can move comfortably between different technical areas and is willing to solve whatever is required to move a complex Deep-Tech product forward.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop and maintain production software systems, primarily in Python.
• Build scalable cloud-based services and infrastructure.
• Develop internal tools, automation frameworks and complex data pipelines.
• Build and support scientific and research workflows.
• Work with large-scale computational workloads and multi-GPU environments.
• Integrate software with physical sensors, imaging systems, laboratory equipment and data-acquisition processes.
• Support the implementation, optimisation and production integration of advanced computational algorithms.
• Improve system architecture, performance, reliability, testing and maintainability.
• Drive projects end-to-end, from initial concept and system design through implementation, testing, deployment and ongoing support.
• Work closely with algorithm developers, researchers, physicists, hardware engineers and clinicians.
• Take part in important architectural and product decisions.
• Help shape the engineering practices and culture of a growing software team.
• Solve both long-term engineering challenges and the practical day-to-day needs of a fast-moving startup.

What You Must Bring

• At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
• Excellent, production-level Python.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including architecture, clean code, testing, debugging, performance and maintainability.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud environment: AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Experience designing, building and maintaining complex production systems.
• Proven ability to lead projects from initial design through implementation and deployment.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial and genuinely hands-on mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• The flexibility and curiosity required to work across several technical areas rather than within a narrowly defined role.
