Senior Aero-Mechanical Engineer

FlyWorks is developing the next generation of hybrid drones to help address some of the world's biggest challenges.

Based on our patented technology, we're creating a truly one-of-a-kind flying machine, and are seeking an exceptional senior aero-mechanical engineer to join our R&D team, taking ownership of complex aero-mechanical systems from concept through validation.

The Role

You will design and validate FlyWorks' aero-mechanical components and mechanisms — using mathematics, analysis, and simulation to solve tough engineering challenges, then building and testing prototypes to bring your designs to life. What You'll Do

●       Design complex mechanical power-transfer mechanisms.

●       Use mathematics, design analysis, and simulations to solve design challenges.

●       Design, build, and perform lab tests for design validation.

●       Initiate and oversee work with subcontractors to solve design challenges.

●       Analyze large amounts of data to solve complex design issues.

●       Perform hands-on assembly and testing of mechanical sub-systems prototypes.

Required Education, Skills and Experience

Essential:

●       BSc/MSc in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering.

●       10+ years of experience in mechanical/aeronautical engineering in an aeronautical/robotics multi-disciplinary project.

●       Excellent hands-on technical skills.

●       High design-for-manufacturing capabilities.

●       Strong technical Hebrew and English, spoken and written.

●       Experience with SolidWorks CAD software.

Advantage:

●       Prior experience with design of mechanical power-transfer systems.

●       Prior experience with R&D in the aerospace or the drone realm.

●       Experience working with internal combustion engines.

●       Experience with design and manufacturing of composite material components.

●       Prior work in a startup environment.

Working Conditions:
