Role Description The Senior SQL DBA will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing SQL database environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security. Daily activities include configuring and maintaining databases, implementing backup and recovery strategies, handling replication, and troubleshooting complex database issues. The role involves collaborating with developers and infrastructure teams on database design, performance tuning, and resource planning. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Herzliya, requiring close coordination with local team members and stakeholders. The Senior SQL DBA will also contribute to best practices, documentation, and continuous improvement of database operations.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in Database Administration and managing production Databases.
• Experience with Replication, high availability configurations, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Proficiency in Database Design, including schema modeling and optimization.
• Advanced Troubleshooting skills for performance issues, errors, and complex incidents.
• Hands-on experience with major SQL database platforms (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and related tools.
• Knowledge of performance tuning, indexing strategies, query optimization, and capacity planning.
• Familiarity with scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or SQL scripts) for routine tasks and deployments.
• Understanding of security best practices, access control, and compliance in database environments.
• Ability to work on-site in Herzliya, collaborate effectively in a team, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
