NPI Engineer

Role Description-

• Serving as an NPI & Operations Engineer, taking end-to-end engineering ownership over introducing new enterprise storage hardware platforms from R&D development into mass manufacturing.
• Creating, maintaining, and managing comprehensive production packages, detailed Bills of Materials (BOM), technical product documentation, assembly work instructions, and mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Leading configuration management and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs, Deviations) across the entire product lifecycle via PLM systems.
• Providing ongoing technical, operational, and sustaining support to subcontracted manufacturing lines (Turnkey / EMS partners) in Israel and the US, identifying bottlenecks and driving continuous manufacturing process optimizations.
• Leading company-wide hardware certification programs, regulatory compliance initiatives, international safety standards, and environmental sustainability certifications.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with Hardware R&D, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure seamless hardware production readiness and high manufacturing yields.

Requirements-

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial & Management Engineering – Mandatory
• Extensive hands-on industry experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) within Hardware / Multidisciplinary Systems (3+ years) – Mandatory
• Hands-on proficiency managing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, including multi-level BOM management, change control (ECO/ECR), and product configuration workflows – Mandatory
• Solid technical hardware understanding, with demonstrated experience authoring clear assembly procedures, test flows, and component replacement manuals – Mandatory
• Fluent, high-level written and verbal communication skills in English – Mandatory
• Strong independent execution capabilities with a proactive mindset, excellent multitasking abilities, and proven end-to-end task ownership – Mandatory
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD design software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) – Significant Advantage
• Practical knowledge of global hardware standards, regulatory testing, or environmental sustainability certifications (RoHS, REACH, ESG compliance) – Advantage
• Background working directly with global Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS / Turnkey) partners – Advantage
